From Fashion major to the world of dentistry, I’d say it was a blessing in disguise. Being part of a team who truly cares for the well-being of our patients is beyond me. What truly sets us apart from others, is our unique approach to make sure everyone who walks into our door is treated as family, as we want what is best for them!

Outside of the office, you can catch me stuffing my face at any instagrammable restaurant, chasing my two little ones around, and dancing away at a Zumba or Hip-Hop class. San Antonio has a lot of history and there are so many places around town my family and I enjoy visiting. The Pearl Brewery and Southtown has to be one of our favorites spots, currently.

Dr. Amruta Patel graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI with a BS in Biomedical Sciences with Honors in 2005 and from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2009. Dr. Patel has practiced in Texas for eight years and has extensive experience in general dentistry as well as specialty procedures such as dental implants, adult braces and dental sleep medicine.

An avid learner, Dr. Patel is working on a fellowship with the American Academy of General Dentistry and investigating patient-centered approaches in restorative dentistry through the prestigious Kois center in Seattle, WA to provide the best comprehensive care for her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, exploring Texas with her husband Samir, who is a physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, School of Medicine, and playing with her two exuberant fluffy dogs, Percy and Simba.

I was born in San Antonio and I’m very grateful to be a part of the community that I was raised in. I attended the The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and graduated with a bachelors of science in Dental Hygiene. I have practiced for over 20 years and in that time have worked with many dentists. All About Smiles is truly a unique place to work because Dr. Patel and my coworkers create an atmosphere that fosters genuine empathy for patients, a commitment to educating people on the importance of oral hygiene, and of course tons of laughter and love. My personal goal is to always provide the best possible care. I am thankful that All About Smiles gives me the support to do so. Dr. Patel, while being very thorough with her work, is kind, patient and always smiling.

While not at the office, I enjoy baking and gardening. Pixar and Disney films are all I watch. I’m also a not-so-secret pinterest addict! But my absolute favorite activity is spending time with my husband and three dogs. While on pinterest of course.

I have worked in the dental field since high school and with many dentists until I met Dr. Patel. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Dr. Patel a few years ago where she was an associate. I told her back then that if she ever decided to open a practice that I would love to be her office manager. Dr. Patel’s work ethics, personality and care for her patients is above and beyond what I have ever seen. She is an exceptional dentist who will listen and find a way to meet your needs. I’m so thankful that our paths crossed. I am passionate about dentistry not only because I am meeting patients but I am gaining friends. I care about what I do and love to educate my patients about dental health.

I have lived in San Antonio for almost 30 years. My father was in the Air Force and we were stationed here in 1974 and at that time he realized that he wanted to retire here. He loved the weather and the friendly people. I always tell him he made a great decision! I am very involved with the athletic department at my son’s high school. I have a 22-year-old son attending the US Naval Academy and a 16-year-old at Steven’s high school. Football is our favorite past time!
